Dr. Vineesha Singh is an alumnus of school of studies in Earth Science, Jiwaji University, Gwalior(M.P.). She has completed Post Graduation degree M.Sc. in Earth Science from Jiwaji University in1993 with first ranked. She also completed her Ph.D. in Hydrogeology from School of Studies in Earth Science, Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 2001. Presently she is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences, Barkatullah University, Bhopal since 2014 and Head of the Department from 2018.Her research interests include Water resources, Groundwater exploration, Hydrogeology, Environmental Geoscience, Geomorphology, Remote Sensing & GIS etc. She has more than 25 years of teaching and research experiences in the area of interests. She is an active member of more than 15 Professional Bodies including Indian Society of Remote Sensing, Society of Earth Science India, Indian Society of Geomatics, Bulletin of Pure Applied Geological Sciences, JGR etc. She is actively involved in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS applications. She also conducts short trainings, virtual hands-on training on GIS, open source GIS(Q-GIS) for Geology, Geography, Environment and civil engineering students. Dr. Singh has been involved in various major and minor research projects such as Geospatial Technology Application for water assessment and management in hard rock areas, Tikamgarh district and natural resource-based advancement of tribal villages by using geospatial technique. She has organized more than 05 seminars/webinar/expert lecture series in the department. She has attended more than 10 Professional trainings, Remote Sensing and GIS Trainings, more than 10 faculty development programs, more than 80 national and international conferences and seminars and published more than 60 research papers in National and international journals. She has also active member of various academic and administrative committees and warden of girls hostel, Barkatullah University, Bhopal from 2016.
