The patient first complained of extreme lethargy, a marked decrease in body weight, and an ongoing cough; nevertheless, there were no traditional signs of kidney disease, such as blood in the urine or discomfort in the flanks. A CT scan confirmed lung nodules and a 4 cm renal mass, a chest X-ray showed several nodular opacities, and a blood test showed high ESR and CRP levels; the patient also had minor liver enlargement, according to the clinical examination. Biopsies of the renal mass and lung nodules verified the presence of clear-cell renal carcinoma with pulmonary metastases. Supportive therapy for the patient's anaemia and cough was administered with sunitinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Quality of life improved, renal disease remained constant, and pulmonary lesions regressed significantly at the three- and six-month follow-ups. In patients presenting with unusual symptoms of advanced kidney carcinoma, this example emphasizes the need for thorough diagnostic imaging and interdisciplinary treatment. The results for patients may be greatly improved with early diagnosis and tailored treatment.</p>
<kwd-group kwd-group-type="author"><kwd>advanced renal cancer</kwd><kwd> unusual presentation</kwd><kwd> clear cell renal carcinoma</kwd><kwd> pulmonary metastases</kwd><kwd> diagnostic imaging</kwd><kwd> CT scan</kwd><kwd> biopsy</kwd><kwd> sunitinib</kwd><kwd> targeted therapy</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement>This study did not receive specific financial support from funding agencies in the public, commercial, or non-profit sectors.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back>
<title>Data Availability</title><p>Data sharing is not part of this study.</p>
<title>Conflicts of Interest</title><p>The authors declare no conflicts of interest related to this study.</p>
<title>Authors&#x2019; Contributions</title><p>The author alone is responsible for the study's conception, design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and manuscript preparation.</p>
<title>Funding Statement</title><p>This study did not receive specific financial support from funding agencies in the public, commercial, or non-profit sectors.</p>
<title>software-information</title><p>This research did not utilize any specific software or tools.</p>
<ack><title>Acknowledgments</title><p>I appreciate the assistance and expertise provided by everyone involved in this research and manuscript, and the valuable comments from peer reviewers.</p></ack><ref-list content-type="authoryear"><ref id="1"><label>1</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>-</p></element-citation></ref></ref-list></back></article>
