Traditional wastewater treatment methods often struggle to meet the stringent environmental regulations required for dairy effluents. In recent years, electrochemical advanced oxidation processes (EAOPs) have emerged as a robust and sustainable solution to tackle the complexity of dairy wastewater. This paper reviews the latest advances in applying EAOPs in dairy wastewater treatment, focusing on their mechanisms, efficiency in removing pollutants, and potential challenges. The study also discusses how these technologies contribute to sustainable wastewater management and their future potential in addressing the global issue of dairy industry pollution.
