Traditional wastewater treatment methods often struggle to meet the stringent environmental regulations required for dairy effluents. In recent years, electrochemical advanced oxidation processes (EAOPs) have emerged as a robust and sustainable solution to tackle the complexity of dairy wastewater. This paper reviews the latest advances in applying EAOPs in dairy wastewater treatment, focusing on their mechanisms, efficiency in removing pollutants, and potential challenges. The study also discusses how these technologies contribute to sustainable wastewater management and their future potential in addressing the global issue of dairy industry pollution.</p>
<kwd-group kwd-group-type="author"><kwd>Electrochemical advanced oxidation processes (EAOPs)</kwd><kwd> Dairy wastewater</kwd><kwd> Organic pollutant removal</kwd><kwd> Sustainable wastewater treatment</kwd><kwd> Hydroxyl radicals</kwd><kwd> Green technology</kwd><kwd> Wastewater reuse</kwd><kwd> Environmental protection</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement>The authors did not receive financial support from any public, commercial, or non-profit funding agencies for this research.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back>
<title>Data Availability</title><p>No data sharing is applicable for this research.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<title>Conflicts of Interest</title><p>The authors disclose no conflicts of interest in relation to this work.</p>
<title>Authors&#x2019; Contributions</title><p>The study's design, data collection, result analysis, and manuscript preparation were entirely managed by the author.</p>
<title>Funding Statement</title><p>The authors did not receive financial support from any public, commercial, or non-profit funding agencies for this research.</p>
<title>software-information</title><p>The research did not involve the use of any particular software or tools.</p>
<ack><title>Acknowledgments</title><p>I am thankful for the help and expertise of all contributors to this study and manuscript, as well as the insightful feedback from anonymous reviewers.</p></ack><ref-list content-type="authoryear"><ref id="1"><label>1</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>-</p></element-citation></ref></ref-list></back></article>
