Antimicrobial and other medicinal plant characteristics have made them popular for ages in various cultural contexts. To battle microbial strains that have developed resistance, this study compiles the latest findings on the antibacterial characteristics of medicinal plants. We investigate the phytochemical components accountable for these characteristics and their modes of action and effectiveness against certain infections. The article goes on to talk about the possibilities and obstacles of using organic antimicrobials in contemporary medicine.</p>
<kwd-group kwd-group-type="author"><kwd>Antimicrobial</kwd><kwd> Medicinal plants</kwd><kwd> Phytochemicals</kwd><kwd> Antibiotic resistance</kwd><kwd> Traditional medicine</kwd><kwd> Pathogens</kwd><kwd> Phytotherapy</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement>The authors received no financial support for the research, authorship, or publication of this article from any funding agencies.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back>
<title>Data Availability</title><p>The study does not include any data sharing components.</p>
<title>Conflicts of Interest</title><p>No conflicts of interest are reported by the authors.</p>
<title>Authors&#x2019; Contributions</title><p>The author alone is responsible for the study's conception, design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and manuscript preparation.</p>
<title>Funding Statement</title><p>The authors received no financial support for the research, authorship, or publication of this article from any funding agencies.</p>
<title>software-information</title><p>No specific software or tools were used in the research.</p>
<ack><title>Acknowledgments</title><p>My thanks go to those who assisted with this study and manuscript preparation, and to the peer reviewers for their constructive feedback.</p></ack><ref-list content-type="authoryear"><ref id="1"><label>1</label><element-citation publication-type="journal"><p>-</p></element-citation></ref></ref-list></back></article>
